Maddie wants to be your voice on the Board of County Commissioners.
Deschutes County voters passed a measure in 2022 to make the board of commissioners non-partisan. As of January 2025, Deschutes county has more voters who are not registered to any party than those who are registered either Democrat or Republican. This office requires a non partisan voice who can make common sense decisions on behalf of the community, in a non biased, non partisan way. Maddie is not seeking the backing or endorsement of a major political party because the voters were clear; hyperpartisan politics is not good for our local governance. Lets get away from the divisive party lines and work to make our community a safe and welcoming place we can all call home.

About Maddie
I understand your needs because I am one of you. I am a single parent with two school aged kids. I have fed my children with the assistance of programs like SNAP and relied on food banks. I have two jobs. I rent my home. I have never owned a new car. I have a messy house and too much laundry. I know how to represent you, because I am one of you. I know you are busy making ends meet, and you cant leave in the middle of the day to come to a commissioner meeting. I promise to be a voice you can trust to stand up for the needs of working families.

“Maddie is smart, optimistic, and ready to bring fresh ideas without falling into old campaign patterns. She is relatable, positive, and knows the issues facing the voters.”
Cody Darling:
“We all say ‘someone needs to do something!’ Maddie is actually doing it and I am so excited to support her campaign.”
Janette Gyesky, local business owner:
“More than ever, we need AUTHENTIC representation. We need someone who LISTENS. We need representation that lives the REAL day to day of working hard to provide for families. We need someone who will fight to make this community thrive for ALL. More than ever, we need Maddie! “
Angela K. Nickerson:
“As a teachers our goal is to help grow students who will make a positive impact on the world. Maddie was my student when she was in high school. She had the character, intelligence, and the compassion which eventually lead her into public service. It was baked in! And now your community will benefit even further from her leadership. You couldn’t ask for a better candidate.”
